Doomed to History's Fate
Yohan Tibur Ux
Dragonborn Monk (Human by birth)
Born Yohan Breaksmith in Skaarsdag, about 500 miles west of Thelport, Yohan was the son of a lock merchant Ustus Breaksmith. When he was scarcely able to walk, Yohan’s father’s ship was attacked by the dread pirate Savage Quenn and his crew the Black Mariah. Young Yohan was the only surviver and was beached on the shores of Sherdragon, the continent south of Fenhold, where he was found by Grand Master Stohllen and brought to the the Monastery of Bahamut to be raised. Yohan was trained to be a monk of Bahamut, learning the values of his lord and also the unarmed warrior’s way. Through his studies, he had heard of the dragonborn, Bahamut’s chosen champions against Tiamat that were reborn in the form of humanoid dragons. Yohan knew that one day he wanted to serve his deity in such an honorable way. When he had completed his training, the paladin Tayanna Serrengriff had contacted Master Stohllen with a problem. After being introduced to Yohan, she took him to the little town of Thelport where she had gathered Philip Chloros, Iliana of the Mist, and Rincewind the Wizzard in the Swerving Hippogriff tavern. It was here where Yohan’s true training began. In the next few days he found his normally brash self humbled, but it was when he was investigating supposed Fenhold attacks on Norverian ships where he was truly tried. For the first time since his childhood, Yohan was face to face with Savage Quenn. Despite Team Not Evil (as Yohan’s companions had began calling themselves) defeating Quenn, the pirate escaped and had opened up some wounds. While Yohan and his friends had become quite the heroes in Thelport, it was in the small town of Throklett that Yohan discovered his true destiny. After defeating the green dragon Lithnolexas, Yohan was approached by an old man accompanied by seven canaries and was informed that should he perform two tasks for his Lord, he shall undergo the Rite of Rebirth and become dragonborn. First, Yohan would have to defeat an Unholy Ravager of Tiamat, a chromatic dragon that especially devoted her life to Tiamat. He would then have to find a chromatic dragon egg and place it in the care of a metallic dragon, so it may be raised with the values Yohan has been. Yohan finally completed his task with the defeat of Hezmothga, being commended of his victory by Sonngrad the Wing and commanded to take the solitary egg from the Tiamite’s nest. This egg was placed in the care of Zulkin’s master Naharaak. He finally underwent the Rite of Rebirth, reborn Yohan Tibur Ux, or Yohan born as platinum. Yohan had faced another trial though, for he found that he was going to be working alongside Savage Quenn and his crew under the orders of the king himself. Team Not Evil was to support Morgrosh in their fight against the Illithid Guild and Tiamat’s rebels, where he met the Tiamat bishop Taxick. After killing the leader of the Illithid Guild, they had to leave the followers of Bahamut to their own devices, for they had to take down the Emperor Crab Cult, this time aided by Savage Quenn and his men. After Yohan himself killed the high priest of the Crab Cult, Quenn and his cronies betrayed Team Not Evil. Despite the pain the pirate caused the dragonborn, Yohan did not succumb to his rage and went for Quenn’s wizard who only Yohan could get to. After Savage Quenn and company were killed for good, Team Not Evil had their sights set on Sezraken. It was Yohan who ultimately in Vincasha struck the final blow along with Zulkin on Sezraken, and thus Yohan and his friends were hailed as heroes to Fenhold, Sherdragon, Norver, Morgrosh, and Vincasha. After leaving Team Not Evil, Yohan aided the Bahamut loyalists with taking back their kingdom and killed Taxick himself. After that he spent the next 300 years fighting Tiamat’s forces and doing good deeds throughout the world until Bahamut gave him one final mission. With that, he found his old friend Zulkin and headed to the Ring of Fire.
